Founded in 2008, Kate Wills brings many years of experience and professionalism to the mission of providing quality and respectful services to special needs individuals and their families. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. After her beloved Mother passed on New Year’s Day 1998 she took a break from school to grieve and accepted what was intended to be a short-term job as a direct care staff worker of a residential community group home in her home state of Pennsylvania. Kate was quickly offered a promotion to Group Home Manager where God’s intentions would be revealed. She was working with dually diagnosed individuals, accepting the challenges that led to further promotions supervising over several group homes. In 2004 Kate moved to Texas and worked for various providers, learning various roles, primarily as a Case Manager in the Home and Community-based Services (HCS) program. She was determined to prove that all individuals have the right to exploring and achieving their dreams with endless possibilities. Therefore, Kate decided to venture on her own as an HCS provider and built A Treasure Of Dreams. Kate chose the name, A Treasure of Dreams, because she felt that the individuals served in the program are “Treasures” with dreams to explore and she wanted to express that regardless of a disability, people can explore how to realize their dreams even if it takes creative ways to achieve the outcome. With the love, support, and encouragement of her family, A Treasure Of Dreams activated its contract in July 2012. The first couple of years of growing pains were full of challenges and excitement. Kate is proud of her staff who work together as a team to provide our treasures with the opportunity to explore endless possibilities. It is understood at A Treasure of Dreams that God is truly the CEO and Kate is merely a part of His team!
Our mission at A Treasure of Dreams is to provide quality, family focused, individualized care, support, and specialized resources to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, with the encouragement to explore endless possibilities.
